Activism

I completed the DVD we are going to use for our signing/donation event. I attended a tabling event that involved Animal Safehouse and other equality groups. We sold a couple headbands and I met two of the other members of Animal Safehouse: Cherie and Christine. We did a lot of explaining to the people who attended the event, and also introduced ourselves as each group had to.

Reflection

As each person came by our table, I saw most of them were incorporating their "path of least resistance" (Johnson 68) They care about animals as they say, but are not willing to actually foster a pet to help someone in need. They more or less were acting as if these kinds of things do not concern them because they have no experience with them.

Reciprocity

I enjoyed this event. I always feel accomplished when I can spread the word about things I care for. It helps that I am able to do so much with this project. BARC is holding a protest for the upcoming circus on campus, but unfortunately I will be working and not able to attend. Even if it is not a protest or big event, tabling helped me to promote something I care about.
