Introduction

My name is Krysten and I am in my third year at UCF. My major is Anthropology. I'm interested in Women's Studies because obviously anthropology is a study of humans and this class falls into that category in a way. I'm also interested in the way women's roles have changed throughout history and different points-of-view of this. Right now I am part of the Body of Animal Rights Campaigners at UCF and (when I have the time) partake in the various activities involved. These can vary from protests to giving away vegan/vegetarian food. My favorite woman in history is Hatshepsut, the woman who ruled (successfully) in ancient Egypt as Pharaoh (King, NOT Queen). This goes along with my love for Egyptian history as well. I am definitely looking forward to this class.
